Surgery
Deerfoot Animal Clinic and our doctors are equipped to handle a wide range of surgical needs. From routine, elective surgeries like spays and neuters (generally done at 6 months of age), general soft tissue surgery, cystotomy (removal of bladder stones), exploratory surgery (removal of a foreign body), growth removal, Cesarean Section as well as Orthopedic Surgeries like fracture repair, patella luxation and limb amputation.
Feline declaw surgery is done with a radio-surgical device which reduces trauma to the surgery site and allows for a quicker recovery. Our skilled doctors and compassionate nursing staff will monitor your pet before, during and after surgery to ensure a safe recovery. When your pet is ready to go home, we will review your postoperative care and medication instructions. If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. We welcome your questions and help is only a phone call away. We are happy to provide cost estimates to our clients upon request.
